Dr. Catherine Austin earned her Master's Degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1998,

and her Doctoral Degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2015. She has been a Licensed Acupuncturist in private practice for 19 years in both Northern and Southern California and in South America, specializing in digestive disorders, allergies, auto-immune diseases, and women's health. Ms. Austin has done extensive studies in Chinese herbs and founded the first organic Chinese herbal pharmacy in Sonoma County in Northern California. She began teaching at Pacific College in 2005 because of her long-time interest in promoting Integrative Medicine. She is currently lecturing on obstetrics, gynecology, urology and endocrine disorders, and supervises in the on-site clinic. She served as Chair of the Clinical Department of Pacific College from 2007 to 2009. In 2011 and 2012, Catherine was a member of the design and implementation team for the Acupuncture services portion of the new Integrative Medicine track in Family Medicine at UCSD in La Jolla. In 2012 and 2013, she began additional training in Ayurvedic medicine, migraines, and multiple sclerosis; while working with top neurologist Dr. Kulrheet Chaudhary at Wellspring Health in La Jolla.  Dr. Austin can work with you and your physician, interpret labwork, and incorporate Functional Medicine as part of your overall health maintenance plan.
